The Professional Journey Behind the Practice

Navigating the complex pathways of Canadian immigration demands more than an academic grasp of the law—it requires a deep appreciation for the human stakes involved. My perspective is shaped by nearly a decade working within the post-secondary education landscape alongside my personal experience managing the federal immigration pipeline.

In 2015, after completing my Master’s degree in Political Science from the University of Toronto, I returned overseas to build my career. When my family chose to transition back to Canada in 2019, our application was hit by the extensive, multi-year processing delays triggered by global pandemic disruptions. Navigating that protracted silence gave me an indelible understanding of the anxiety, precision, and endurance required of modern applicants.

Bridging Education and Federal Law

With an extensive professional background in academic sectors, I recognized how critical specialized knowledge is when parsing fast-evolving economic streams, temporary study parameters, and compliance shifts. This drove me to pursue formal legal training, graduating with a Graduate Diploma in Immigration and Citizenship Law from Queen's University, leading to licensure by the College of Immigration and Citizenship Consultants (CICC).

Echelon6 Immigration Services Inc. was founded to transform complex regulatory barriers into clear, linear, and defensible migration strategies. We represent clients globally through a robust, remote-first model that delivers borderless, meticulous legal file management without the operational bloat of traditional physical firms.

Verification & Governance

Strict Regulatory Protections

Canadian law mandates that only authorized practitioners may provide paid immigration advice or legal representation. Your file is handled under strict federal oversight.

CICC Oversight

Wisam Khurram is a Regulated Canadian Immigration Consultant in good standing with the College of Immigration and Citizenship Consultants (CICC) under License #R1036576. This ensures compliance with a strict Code of Professional Conduct, mandatory ongoing legal education, and professional liability insurance safeguards.

IRB Practice Privilege

Holding an active RCIC-IRB class of license means authorization extends beyond standard visa and permanent residency processing. It includes the authority to advocate for and represent clients directly before the Immigration and Refugee Board of Canada (IRB) for complex dispute hearings and appeals.

Verify Practitioner Status Externally

You can verify active licenses independently via the public registry on the official CICC regulatory portal.
